Part 1

  1. Read reviews of other tourists

Whatever you care about - whether the hotel is worthy or what's fun in a resort - you're most unlikely to find online consumer reviews.

But do not forget that the opinions of other tourists can deceive you. For example, if someone has rated a hotel negative, read why. If the person does not like the place because the rooms are small, it may not be a reason to cancel this hotel if you do not plan to spend a lot of time in your room.

Also, if you look at the hotel ratings, pay attention to the number of people who make up these ratings. The more voters are, the more the rating is.

Whenever you read opinions of tourists about a place, service or hotel, note the date of publication. Things in tourism are changing rapidly and it is good to know when the evaluation was given.

  1. Use social networks

If you go anywhere, nothing prevents your friends on the social network if they know about interesting places you can visit. The valuable thing here is that advice will be given by close people and will probably be quite varied.

Of course, this only applies if you want to share your plans and location on social networks.

  1. Consider insurance

In principle, it is not bad to have insurance, especially if you are travelling for longer or longer distances. It is important to read the terms and know in which cases and how you can use your insurance.

It is generally better to buy insurance from an insurer than the travel agency that organizes your trip because some insurance covers not only possible medical expenses but also issues related to your travel organizer (cancellation, losing your baggage, the travel agency itself, etc.)

  1. Do not take too much luggage

The enormous amount of unnecessary luggage can not only hinder, but also spoil your journey.

Think of your luggage carefully based on the expected weather conditions and what you plan to do during your vacation. Make a list and try to get everything in one bag.

Do not give up important things, on the contrary. Your goal is to have everything you need and nothing superfluous.

For example, choose two pants in neutral colours, each of which can be combined with five or six different T-shirts. So, you have different combinations. It is best to choose clothes that are not crushed.

Also, remember that it is always good to have a spare pair of shoes. And that in your shoes you can put socks or other small items to save on the spot.
